Completion of 1st Cycle of Laboratory Exercises: - Bachelor in "Medical Representatives Management"

With the teaching period of the Academic Year 2021-22 coming to an end, the students of the new, Accredited - Certified Program of Study leading to a "Medical Representatives Management" Bachelor degree of KES College, completed their Laboratory Exercises for the respective Academic Year.

As part of the 1^st cycle of laboratory courses for the 1^st year (1^st and 2^nd Semester) of the "Medical Representatives Management" Bachelor degree, experimental exercises were conducted for the courses: "Cell Biology and Development", "General and Inorganic Chemistry", "Introduction to Microbiology", "Elements of Biochemistry" and "Physiology I".

The laboratory exercises took place at the premises of the Laboratories of Biology, Chemistry and Microscopy of KES College, by the teachers:

• Dr. Miliotou Androulla, Coordinator of the Program "Medical Representatives Management", KES College and Doctor of Molecular Pharmacology, School of Pharmacy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
• Dr. Sarris Dimitris, Program Coordinator of "Technician for the Production of Organic Products" and "Gardening and Landscaping" and Doctor of Biological Sciences of the University of Patras, and
• Dr. Siafaka Panoraia, Senior Lecturer of KES College and Doctor of the Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Students had the opportunity to organize and carry out experimental protocols, from the study of the physiology and anatomy of animal hearts (pig), the isolation of milk proteins and their quantification by spectrophotometry, to the isolation of plant tissue DNA and fungal culture.

KES College's Accredited-Certified Program leading to a Bachelor's Degree in “Medical Representatives Management” is designed to provide its students with all the necessary skills for their scientific training, understanding of basic medical procedures and the execution of important experimental protocols, with the ultimate goal of preparing the health professionals of the future.

The Medical Representative is requested to provide scientific detailing to Doctors and Pharmacists and to respond to the scientific substantiation of the mechanisms of action, indications/contraindications and pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic characteristics of a pharmaceutical product. With the new Accredited-Certified Program of KES College, the profession of Medical Representative is upgraded and the opportunity is given to develop into an Executive in a Pharmaceutical Company, always maintaining the high level of medical awareness one of the basic skills of the graduate of the Program "Medical Representative Management".
