Ο τομέας των ταξιδιών και του τουρισμού είναι μια συνεχώς εξελισσόμενη παγκόσμια βιομηχανία αφού ο αριθμός των ταξιδιωτών αυξάνεται ραγδαία. Αυτό δημιούργησε την ανάγκη για κατάρτιση ατόμων με γνώσεις και δεξιότητες που φιλοδοξούν να εργοδοτηθούν και στη συνέχεια, να ηγηθούν των εξελίξεων στον τομέα αυτό. Το Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών “Travel & Tourism Management” παρέχει μια πολύπλευρη προσέγγιση στον τομέα των ταξιδιών και του τουρισμού με έμφαση στη διοίκηση και στην επιχειρησιακή διαχείριση.

This course aims to explore the inter-relationship between geography and tourism. The module will provide a basic overview of the world regions and provide an insight about the geographical character that comprises the setting for tourism.
Principles of Destination Management
The course focuses on tourism and to examine its principles structures, functions and rationale.
Structure of Travel Industry
Τhe course introduces, presents, discusses and expounds the travel industry and its particulars.
Principles of Microeconomics in Tourism
This module aims to develop students understanding of the tourism economics from a microeconomic point of view. It also aims to enhance their skills in analyzing the tourism business environment and in taking decisions on tourism business.
Definitions, Concepts & Principles of Business Management
This course provides a detailed examination of the tourism product and its impact and the nature of the tourist. Moreover, the course provides the students with an understanding of management from an industry standpoint on a global level, showing particular attention to the different and often diverse sectors of the tourism industry.
Introduction to Travel, Tourism & the Hospitality Industry
An introductory course to Tourism, Travel and Hospitality, introducing these topics and placing them into a correct and updated local and international perspective. The course is designed to develop knowledge and understanding.
Introduction to Nutrition and Diet
This is an introductory course to the science of nutrition and diet, its principles and methods and its uses and applications in hospitality.
Introduction to Sociology of Tourism
The purpose of this course is to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary tourists, their interests and challenges and relations between tourism and societies at large.
Introduction to Statistics (Descriptive Statistics)
This course covers the basics of descriptive statistics, distributions and central tendency and dispersion measures.
Global Tourism & Leisure
The course provides an introduction to Global trends in tourism and leisure and highlight their major constituents.
Principles of Macroeconomics in Tourism
The course provides an essential approach to the tourism sector from a macroeconomic point of view. This module aims to develop students understanding of the tourism economics in macroeconomic perspectives; to enhance their skills in taking decisions on tourism business and in analyzing tourism business environment.
Introduction to Marketing
An introductory course to the science of Marketing Management and its applications in business and organizations. This course teaches students how to apply marketing theory and concepts to what marketers do in "the real world", how to use marketing concepts to make business decisions and how to improve familiarity with current challenges and issues in marketing.

This course provides an introduction to the hospitality industry, which has emerged as the largest global industry of present times.
Practical Training I
The main aim of this course, is to give to the students the opportunity to acquire practical experiences, on top of the knowledge acquired during the entire program of study and within a professional environment.
French Language I
This is an introductory course to French. It aims to develop basic communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and pronunciation.
Russian Language I
The course aims to teach students the basic structures and vocabulary of the Russian language, with emphasis on Travel and Tourism, to understand and to use common expressions related to their working environment.
German Language I
The course objective is to enable students to develop their communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in German Language directly related to their studies and their working environment in Travel and Tourism industry.
Greek Language for Foreign Students I
This introductory course on Modern Greek is designed specifically for students with no previous knowledge of the language to provide them with knowledge, skills and confidence to read, write, and speak in a basic level in Modern Greek.
Travel and Tourism Management
The course is designed to make students conceptually clear about Tourism Industry and management so as to understand different facets and dimensions and its relationship with other subjects, tools and techniques.

The course introduces students to the general and particular characteristics of the airline industry.
Special Interest Tourism
The course aims to critically analyse environmental, social and economic costs and benefits of sustainable tourism, including related laws and policies, community involvement, and future trends.
French Language II
The course focuses on non-general French and more specifically French specialty in the field of hospitality and tourism.
Russian Language II
The course aims to expand students’ knowledge of grammatical structures, vocabulary and the overall ability to communicate in the Russian language with emphasis on Travel and Tourism and specific professional aspects.
German Language II
Students will continue their study of German language by further expanding their knowledge of key vocabulary topics related to Travel and Tourism industry. They will also develop their communicative competence in a more advanced level.
Greek Language for Foreign Students II
This course aims to provide students with some more advanced knowledge and vocabulary of the travel and tourism industry and give emphasis on definitions and concepts concerning the travel and tourism business.
Consumer Behaviour
The course introduces students to consumer behaviour. Students will be exposed to all aspects of the consumer process. Consumer behavior theory will be introduced and applied to “real world” marketing situations.
Culture and Heritage Tourism
The course Culture and Heritage Tourism exposes students to scientific artistic, aesthetic, historic and conservationist points of views and values about culture and heritage in different places and culture. This enables them to know how to promote cultural and natural heritage as important tourist aspects.
Small Business Management
This course provides an understanding of what constitutes small business management and the reasons that small businesses form the backbone of the tourism and hospitality industry. The course also provides an understanding of entrepreneurship generally as a business concept and its application within the tourism and hospitality industry in particular.
Air Travel Law and Regulation
The course makes the students familiar with the basics of the Air Travel Laws and Regulations and the responsibilities of the partners and the organisations concerned.
Air Travel Fares and Ticketing
This course introduces students to basics and advanced airline fares principles, CRS, price and ticket issues. Students will learn principles of various ticketing software, e.g. Amadeus, Galileo, Apollo used by travel industry professionals to instantly confirm and manage flights, hotel, car and other reservations. The course also includes a module on electronic booking.
Practical Training II
Practical Exercise II offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in addition to the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies in a real professional environment.

This is an introductory course to finance and investments. It provides an intuitive but rigorous understanding of the theory and practice of financial markets, illustrating the concepts through examples and cases drawn from the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Food Health, Safety and Security
This course introduces and trains students in food industry related sanitation and safety issues and practices involved in food preparation.
Business Strategy and Policy
This course provides a link between strategic thinking on a theoretical basis with action in the management of tourism. Moreover, it provides an analytical evaluation of the most important global trends in the industry and a review of the major factors affecting international tourism management especially from a strategic standpoint.
Quality Assessment Control and Management
The course covers the history and relevance of quality control in modern business; explains major concepts, methods and means of quality control and explains how these are applied in the evaluation and measurement of goods and services.
Cruise Line Management
This course is designed to help students understand the cruise line industry as a unique tourism product. Examining the major aspects of cruise operations and management including history, global cruise market, economic significance, geography of cruising, itinerary design, anatomy of a cruise ship, operations, sales and marketing procedures, passenger services, event planning and management and career opportunities.
Home & Retail Travel Agency
The course introduces students to the options of independent careers in travel and tourism and focuses on means, methods and rationale of becoming a “Home-Based” Travel agent and explains how to specialize as an employee in a travel agency.
Conferences & Event Management
This course introduces to students to Banquet, Gala and Conference events; planning and management techniques.
Final Project I
This course coaches students in the first stage of market research towards the building of a realistic business plan.
Rural Tourism
The course provides an introduction to rural tourism and survey issues that determine successful rural tourism development and site management of environmentally and culturally sensitive areas.
Cyprus Society, History and Culture
This course provides students with an introductory survey of Cyprus society, history and culture. It explores the island’s history from the Neolithic age to the present, offering an overview of all major historical periods.
Spa and Wellness Management
This course is designed to address today`s market demand for creative, highly skilled, and well-rounded Spa and Wellness managers, who have the ability to educate and empower both their clients and staff.

Entrepreneurship
The course explores entrepreneurship as a multidimensional phenomenon at individual and corporate levels. Students are given hands-on experience in business venture development through a close interrelation between class theory and practice.
Tourism Legislation
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with legal regulations nascent in the tourist industry. Principally to take heed of contractual relations between entrepreneurs and their consumers, explication of questions concerning the protection of consumers and problems of dispute resolution.
EU Formation and Structure
An introductory course on the evolution and structure of EU society & economics. The course covers highlights of EU institutions rules and regulations to familiarize the student with the basic concepts of EU structure.

Φοιτητές που έχουν αδυναμίες στη χρήση της αγγλικής γλώσσας, πριν μπουν στο Κύριο Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών θα πρέπει να παρακολουθήσουν το Προπαρασκευαστικό Πρόγραμμα, το οποίο διαρκεί 1 ή 2 εξάμηνα.
Ο κύριος στόχος του Προπαρασκευαστικού Προγράμματος είναι να δώσει τις αναγκαίες γνώσεις και δεξιότητες, έτσι που να καταστήσει τους φοιτητές έτοιμους να παρακολουθήσουν αποτελεσματικά το Κύριο Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών τους.
Το Προπαρασκευαστικό Πρόγραμμα προσφέρεται τρεις φορές το χρόνο τους μήνες Οκτώβριο, Φεβρουάριο και Ιούνιο.

This course aims to help students understand how English is used in real-life situations, thus enabling them to use the language in oral contexts. The course adopts a communicative approach to learning and as a result students are given the opportunity to practice in developing their competence in English.
