Logistics involves the organisation, movement and storage of materials and the people associated with them. By extension, it is the science of order and the optimisation of all human efforts. From the classification of vegetables to steel production and exploration of space. It is the cornerstone of all modern economies, a set of tools, techniques and strategies that accompany goods and services from the start of the process to production, storage and dispatch, and distribution to final consumers.

Program’s purpose and objectives:
The Programme’s purpose is to provide the students firstly, with a general overview of Logistics as a topic of study and furthermore to focus on the important functions of Logistics such as warehousing and inventory management and their role in Supply Chain management. At the same, modern knowledge is offered based on the new trends in the industry and the technologies apply in it.
Learning outcomes:
Upon successful completion of their studies, students are expected to:
• acquire detailed knowledge of the Logistics processes
perform Logistics operations in an organization from a managerial position
• apply for executive positions in the Supply Chain
• gain sufficient knowledge in Management, Marketing and Finance topics and their importance/direct affiliation to Logistics
• have extensive knowledge of Logistics and their role in Supply Chain management in the private and public sector
• use standard Logistics software packages and understand their role in supply chain management
• implement sustainability and green policies in Logistics and Supply Chain
• be able to use the appropriate Logistics tools and policies and propose effective supply chain management solutions
• be able to distinguish between a variety of options the most efficient Supply Chain selection and its management based on the type of the company

Short CV: Mr Andreas Adamou is a Lecturer at KES College from the current academic year (2022). He has a Master’s Degree in «Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management» from the University of Salford, Manchester and a Bachelor’s degree in «Business Management with Accounting and Finance» from the University of the West of England, Bristol. Since 2021 he is working as an E-commerce Assistant Manager at C.A Papaellinas Emporiki LTD and from 2019 until 2021 Mr Adamou worked as an Outbound Team Leader in Amazon UK. Furthermore, from 2017 until 2019 had worked at Eurofreight Logistics as a Logistics Coordinator.

Short CV: Mr Konstantinos Chrysikopoulos has started as a Lecturer in KES College as of January 2021. He is a highly experienced Supply Chain executive with extensive exposure and expertise in the global market environments. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Statistics from the University of Piraeus, a certificate in Logistics from Imadel, Switzerland and is awarded with an APICS-CSCP certificate.
During his 30 years of career, he held many executive positions as Supply Chain and Logistics Director as well as General Manager in reputable national and multinational organizations in Greece and abroad, operating in different distribution channels and industries.
Konstantinos is a certified trainer in Cyprus and Greece and has trained various professionals in Supply Chain topics with more than 2000 seminar hours in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, UAE and Qatar.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Supply Chain and Operations Organization (KYFEAS), member of ELA (European Logistics Association) and a former member of the board of EEL (Hellenic Logistics Company).

Short cv: Mr. Demetris Constantinou is a Lecturer at KES College since 2017. He holds a Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technological Institute and a BSc in Technology Management from the Oxford Brookes University. Moreover he holds an MBA from CIIM. His professional career began in 2004 after completing his studies. He started working for MPM Eurocars, as Purchasing Supervisor and Warehouse and Supply Chain Assistant. In 2006 he worked at ALCO Filters Ltd, as a Sales Supervisor for one year. He then worked until 2010 at the Cyprus Airways Department of Engineers and Warehouses at Larnaca Airport, as Warehouse and Supply Chain Manager. From 2010 – 2015 he worked for Etex Ltd, as a Group Sales Coordinator and Import and Export Supervisor. Since then, he has been working for a law firm in Cyprus as accounts manager in the compliance department. At the same time, since 2017 he has been lecturing and delivering seminars in the Supply Chain area. He teaches subjects of his specialty.

He is an Accounting Lecturer in numerous educational institutions from 1992. Moreover he worked as an Auditor from 1988 to 1991 acquiring significant experience on issues related to his profession. Short CV: Mr Loizos Eracleous is a Lecturer at KES College as of 2021 in the subject area of Supply Chain & Logistics. He is a Senior Manager at iMinder Ltd in Supply Chain Advisory Services. He has more than 20 years of working experience in Logistics and Supply Chain from various industries in Cyprus. He was a Country Manager of Planning Cyprus Ltd (supply and logistics consulting firm) and worked as a Logistics Manager in a 3PL company for six years. He holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University. He has a lot of experience in the field of Master layouts design/ redesign of warehouse & distribution, Process Redesign, Cost reduction / cost optimization, Logistics networks optimization, Business Process Reengineering, Optimization of Warehouse Management Systems, Optimization of Fleet Management Systems, Design of training programs. He is a member of ETEK and KYFEAS (Cyprus Supply Chain and Operational Operations Agency).

Since 2014 she teaches Statistics to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She also teaches Mathematics in secondary schools.

Brief Curriculum Vitae: Mr. Vassilios Vatalis has been teaching at KES COLLEGE since the current academic year (2022-23). He holds a Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of GLamorgan (Wales) since 2002. Mr. Vatalis has attended many training seminars and conferences in the field of Logistics for two decades.
Since 2003, Mr. Vatalis has been working as Project Implementation Consultant at Mantis (Cyprus) Ltd. He has participated in dozens of analysis and implementation projects of the LOGISTICS VISION SUITE (WMS) information system, for the full spectrum of Distribution Center operations, mainly in Cyprus, but also in Israel and Dubai. He teaches subjects of his specialty.

He also worked as the Head of the Marketing & Subscriptions Service Department at CreditInfo Cyprus from 2004 to 2008 and at Leptos Group of Companies as a Marketing Executive from 2000 to 2002.
