The purpose of the programme of study “Office Management Administrator (2 Years 120 ECTS,Diploma)” is to educate and train the students so they are equipped with competences that meet the requirements of today’s business environment, enhancing their employability and building up their skillset in ways that allow them to adapt to a demanding and ever-changing market.

The ultimate objective of the programme of study “Office Management Administrator (2 Years , 120 ECTS, Diploma)” is to equip the students with knowledge and skills that are intrinsically related to the office administration sector as well as skills and abilities that are intrinsically related to the modern business environment.

Knowledge:

1. Recognise the basic administrative office processes (mail management, phone calls, e-mails, meetings etc.) that take place in today’s business world and the ways in which technology (for example MS Outlook, Excel, etc.) can be used to facilitation and organise (e.g. video conferencing software, electronic presentations) such processes.

2. Recognise the principles and stages of organising various internal and external processes (for example, seminars, business events etc.) related to internal or external customers, and the way of using social media to communicate and maintenance the business activity of a company.

3. Analyse the communication, public relations, and customer relations strategies that help to achieve and maintain long-term relationships, both in the internal and external environment of a company.

Skills:

4. Perform basic office administrative procedures (e.g., filing, calendar management, managing phone calls and e-mails, managing meetings) in a timely and efficient manner, demonstrating the skill to prioritise tasks, to manage their time, to make use of their self- determination qualities, and resolve conflicts or other problems that might arise within the work group.

5. Demonstrate skills in efficient, accurate and correct typing of various types of business documents and in the effective use of a word processor.

6. Use the computer (and other office equipment) comfortably, both when it comes to executing their various office duties and as it relates to the correct, effective and valid use of the internet.

7. Use social media tools as part of a strategic communication plan of a company.

8. Apply their knowledge of accounting and computerised accounting to complete well-defined tasks and solve problems with some guidance or supervision.

Competences:

9. Edit, prepare, check and interpret various business texts, data tables, online information etc. whilst utilising the various computer features (e.g. web browsers, use of word processor, spreadsheets, electronic presentations).

10. Perform, organise and manage various office (filing, keeping schedules, mail management, etc.) and customer processes (e.g. organizing seminars, teleconferences).

11. Adopt professional attitudes related to skills and competences useful in today’s Cypriot reality (e.g. cross-cultural awareness, intercultural skills and adaptability, basic legal aspects related to the office management administrators’ role, sustainable practices and green offices, etc.)

Mr. Nikolaou is a Lecturer at KES College, where he teaches Public Relations, Crisis Management and Marketing. Mr. Nikolaou has obtained a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Development (University of Cyprus, 215) and another Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (Cyprus Institute of Management, 2013). He completed his certificate in Communications at the University of Nicosia in 2012, his undergraduate studies in Journalism and Public Relations in 2009 (Diploma, KES College) and has also obtained a diploma in Public Relations (CIPR Diploma in Public Relations, Chartered Institute of Public Relations) in 2011. He is currently, and since 2016, a PhD candidate of the Department of Journalism and Media Department of the School of Economics and Political Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Mrs. Stavride is a Lecturer at KES College where she teaches Typewriting. Mrs Stavride is an alumni of the Athens University of Economics and Business from where she received her BSc in Business Administration in 1980. Since then, Mrs Stavride has worked in various positions, including having worked as a teaching and administrative staff in Higher Education Institutions, meanwhile participating and succeeding to typewriting competitions. Apart from the wards she has received, Mrs Stavride has completed LCCI English Typewriting courses (1983) and courses delivered by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth on English Typewriting and shorthand writing.

Dr. Mouzourou is a Senior Lecturer at KES College where she teaches subjects related to her specialty, including Modern Greek writing and Research methodology. Dr. Mouzourou graduated from the University of Cyprus where she was awarded her BA in Classical Studies (2010), her MA in Modern Greek Philology (2012) and her doctorate degree in Modern Greek Philology (2020). Dr. Mouzourou has worked as a special scientist at the University of Cyprus as part of the implementation and delivery of research programmes, and has gained significant teaching experience with teaching Greek and Literature to secondary school students and adults.

Mrs Ioannidou is a Lecturer at KES College where she teaches subjects related to Business Administration. Mrs Panayiota has accumulated significant working experience as a financial controller, a position she held for several years. She is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Financial Management (University of Essex, 1996) and an MBA with a Management Focus, obtained in 2013 from the University of Cyprus. She is currently a PhD candidate (Business Management) at the European University. Mrs Ioannidou is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Association, has a Diploma in Emerging Leaders in a Digital Age from Insead Business School, a Diploma in Executive Leadership from Cornell University USA and is a certified trainer by HRDA Cyprus (ANAD).

Mrs Sophia Kyrillou is a Lecturer at KES COLLEGE since February 2023. She holds a degree in Multimedia and Graphic Arts from the Cyprus University of Technology (2017), and a Postgraduate Degree in Graphic Design from the Glasgow School of Arts (2018) in Scotland. Her thesis is related to the signage of public buildings. Mrs Kyrillou worked for the advertising sector between the years 2018-2020. Sicne 2016, Mrs Kyrillou has been working as a freelancer in the field of advertising and promotion. She has attended several seminars both in Cyprus and abroad regarding her specialty.

Ms. Prazioti has been a Lecturer at KES College since 2017. She holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Systems from the Open University of Cyprus. Dr. Stylianou is a Senior Lecturer at KES College since 2022. She holds a PhD in Health Management since 2022, a Master’s Degree in Community Health Care since 2015, specialising on Family Care, and a Bachelor’s Degree in General Nursing, obtained in 2013. Dr. Stylianou has worked in several sectors of primary and secondary health care. Currently, she is working as a nurse – auditor at Accurate Health Auditing and Consulting. Dr. Stylianou’s research interests revolve around organ and tissue donation and general interventional programmes in health issues.
